JTM was approached to refurbish a twin-screw plastic extruder for a plastics manufacturer.

The job required JTM to disassemble, clean and inspect the machine. Machine and sleeve some bearing seats, manufacture some bronze bearings, rebuild screws and barrel, and procure new bearings and seals. The extruder was then reassembled and successfully tested. This was a team effort involving machinists, mechanics, machine movers, and technical staff. The project was completed on time and on budget.
